I wanted to understand a little more about how the engine frame mounts to the firewall and how how the mounting bolts and suspension rubbers assemble. The process was relatively easy. The next step was to secure the engine frame to the engine whilst the engine was on the bench. Here the securing bolts can be properly torqued and a split pin inserted to ensure the bolts cannot vibrate loose.
I’ve started fitting out the firewall with various brackets and fixtures as much as i can before the engine is installed for good. A smart cosmetic improvement was to powder coat the aluminum brackets before final fitting in position.
